The WEF’s The Future of Jobs Report 2020 forecasts a vastly different workforce from that of a year ago.
The projected top 10 skills to develop and attract to your company focus heavily on problem-solving ability, with self-management and skills related to working with people coming in after.
Some top skills to develop and bring on board to your teams include;
- Analytical thinking and innovation
- Active learning and learning strategies
- Leadership and social influence
As businesses adapt to the current climate of disruption through remote scaling and accelerated digitization and automation, it is key to understand, both as employers and employees’, what the skills landscape is going to entail. Its projected that by 2025 50% of current employees will need reskilling and 40% of current employees’ core skills changing.
The emphasis for employers should now be, even more so than before, on understanding how to attract, retain and upskill top talent in line with the changing economic and physical environment.
