One of Kenya’s most influential investment gurus is also a homecomer. Aly-Khan Satchu will be sharing his homecoming journey and drawing the crowds at the Homecoming Revolution London Expo on 15th & 16th March 2014.
Founder and CEO of Rich Management Limited, and described as one of the “founding-fathers of the Nairobi Stock Exchange”, Aly-Khan’s message to the African Diaspora is all about coming home because “this is a ten year space” to grab opportunities, “This is Africa’s moment in a way which is really exciting”. Explaining why he left a top banking role in London to return to Nairobi, Aly-Khan says, “The last thing I want is my children to say to me “Dad, why were you sitting in London when it was just lifting off in Africa?”
Enyo Kumahor, Regional Director – Pan Africa of Thoughtworks says, “Africa has the opportunity to redefine the next generation of software engineers and innovation and business on the continent. We are excited to be partnering with Homecoming Revolution to bring home top IT talent from abroad“.
Mary Griffiths, Senior HR Manager – Group Resourcing Foschini says “I would definitely recommend this event! Our success has been based on attracting candidates with scarce skills in the IT field. Normally attracting these candidates involves high recruitment agency costs as well as long lead times to fill (up to 6 months), so the Homecoming Revolution has proved to be both very cost effective for us, and has considerably cut down the time it takes us to fill our critical vacancies.”
The Homecoming Revolution London Expo is taking place on 15th & 16th March at the Kensington Olympia Conference Centre. This exciting two day weekend will be the one-stop platform for professionals in the African Diaspora to find careers, property, schools, investments, relocation services & entrepreneurial opportunities in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Kenya.
